The Annual Greater Kansas City Science & Engineering Fair

The region’s oldest and largest Science & Engineering Fair for area students to compete for ribbons, awards & cash prizes. Students in grades 4-12 showcase their projects from 15 categories, covering everything from Animal Sciences to Inventions.

Saturday STEM Seminars

Local STEM professionals present hot topics in science, technology, engineering and math as well as highlights of their education and career paths. A Q&A session follows. Geared for students in grades 7-12, but also open to the public. Find out how your students can earn extra credit! Seminars take place from 9 a.m. – 10 a.m. inside of Union Station’s Extreme Screen Theatre.

LIVE STEAM

Join us for a night of science & fun! This special event encourages girls to explore the world of science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM) through a hands-on workshop presented by local educators, professionals, and organizations with a focus on how they live STEAM in their professional and personal lives. End the night with a spectacular science stage show!

Registration will open in September 2023.

Annual “Expanding Your Horizons” – An evening program for girls grades 6 thru 8 to experience hands-on workshops with local female STEM professionals. Registration required.
