Thanks to a special grant this year, 6,000 Jackson County students in grades K-12 will have the opportunity to visit Science City or enjoy a Science City on the Road stage show in their school for free. This educational opportunity is made possible thanks to the generosity of Jackson County, Missouri.
These field trips and outreach programs are made possible through a county grant to Science City. To be eligible for a Science City Jackson County Scholarship, groups must provide education to students in grades K-12 at public, private and charter schools in Jackson County, Missouri.
Field trips and outreach programs may occur throughout 2014, including the school year and summer sessions. They are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. Teachers are limited to one sponsored Science City visit or Science City on the Road program per classroom during the current school year.
