Stay up-to-date with all things Union Station with our Educator Programs. Educator Programs provides resources, professional development, and graduate class credit hours to local professionals. It is available to all licensed educators, educators in training, early childhood educators, and home school educators in Missouri and Kansas. Educators must present valid identification for admission to attractions and events.

Our Educator / Professional Development Programs include:
Annual Greater Kansas City Science & Engineering Fair
The region’s oldest and largest Science & Engineering Fair for area students to compete for ribbons, awards & cash prizes. Students in grades 4-12 showcase their projects from 15 categories, covering everything from Animal Sciences to Inventions.
Teacher Appreciation Weekend
Weekend of August 5-6, 2023 in Science City
ScienceWISE
Held in the PNC Learning Lab inside of Science City from 8:30 am – 12:30 pm
ScienceWISE Professional Development workshops are available to all KC Metro area educators. Workshops are led by local Master Teachers and attendees have the option to earn graduate credit through MidAmerica Nazarene University for an additional fee. Workshops allow educators to dive in to hands-on materials and activities, collaborate with like-minded teachers, and have some fun too! The $25 registration fee helps to cover the cost of course materials, take-homes, snacks and a light continental breakfast is included!
