Outside the Classroom

Stay up-to-date with all things Union Station with our Educator Programs. Educator Programs provides resources, professional development, and graduate class credit hours to local professionals. It is available to all licensed educators, educators in training, early childhood educators, and home school educators in Missouri and Kansas. Educators must present valid identification for admission to attractions and events.

Free

Annual Educator STEM Fest

Educator STEM Fest is THE event for all things STEM! Greater KC Area STEM educational organizations share exciting STEM opportunities and programs for educators and their schools from field trip ideas to classroom resources. Local Master Teachers share hands-on demonstrations of their exemplary lessons and give a taste of ScienceWISE courses.

Code.Org Trainings

Code.org’s K-5 courses blend online, self-guided, and self-paced tutorials with “unplugged” activities that require no computer at all. Courses held at Union Station, 9 am – 4 pm. Dates vary. Please come back for a schedule.

ScienceWISE Professional Development Classes

Discover the Science Whys and Wise up on different topics. Held Saturdays at Union Station Science City 8:30 am – 12:30 pm. Graduate credit available. Dates and Topics vary. Please come back for a schedule and cost.
