How it Works
Our Educator / Professional Development Programs include:
Annual Educator STEM Fest
Educator STEM Fest is THE event for all things STEM! Greater KC Area STEM educational organizations share exciting STEM opportunities and programs for educators and their schools from field trip ideas to classroom resources. Local Master Teachers share hands-on demonstrations of their exemplary lessons and give a taste of ScienceWISE courses.
Code.org’s K-5 courses blend online, self-guided, and self-paced tutorials with “unplugged” activities that require no computer at all. Courses held at Union Station, 9 am – 4 pm. Dates vary. Please come back for a schedule.
ScienceWISE Professional Development Classes
Discover the Science Whys and Wise up on different topics. Held Saturdays at Union Station Science City 8:30 am – 12:30 pm. Graduate credit available. Dates and Topics vary. Please come back for a schedule and cost.
Expand your learning outside of your classroom. With free and paid programs, we encourage educators from all types of classrooms to further develop their own skills and lessons with Science City’s programs. Walk away with new knowledge and resources not only for your students, but yourself.
